# Functional Radiotherapy (LDRT Australia)

> Patient and GP information about Low-Dose Radiotherapy (LDRT) for non-malignant musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions, by Dr Peter Gorayski, Radiation Oncologist (Adelaide; telehealth Australia-wide).

LDRT — also called functional radiotherapy — uses very small doses of radiation to reduce pain and inflammation in non-cancerous conditions such as osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, Dupuytren's disease, Ledderhose disease and keloid scars. Treatment is delivered at Icon Cancer Centre Adelaide.
